Director of Finance
A Director of Finance contributes to AHF and SSHC by ensuring the agency's financial health, compliance, and sustainability. Your leadership ensures that the systems, strategies, and structures supporting SSHC's mission are sound, transparent, and aligned with long-term growth. You will oversee all fiscal operations of the organizationincluding accounting, budgeting, reporting, and auditingwhile guiding a team committed to excellence and accountability. Your work ensures that SSHC's funds are managed with integrity and that resources are available to support prevention, education, and direct services for thousands of community members across Chicago's South Side. As a vital member of SSHC's leadership team, you will partner with the Executive Director and Program Directors to develop grant budgets, monitor expenditures, and prepare clear, actionable financial reports that inform decisions at every level of the organization. You will also serve as the key liaison to funders, auditors, and the AHF Finance team, ensuring compliance with all state, federal, and private grant requirements.

The Director of Finance will work as a part of a close knit team to safeguard financial integrity, strengthen systems, cultivate staff growth, and align financial strategy with organizational goals.
Licenses / Certifications : Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred. Minimum 7 years of nonprofit finance experience, including federal and state grant management.
