Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Field maintenance, installation, troubleshooting, and repair of instrumentation and control systems in a timely, accurate, and safe mannerCalibrate pressure, temperature, flow, and other instrumentsCommission instrumentation and shoot loopsInstall and calibrate measuring and positioning devicesPerform minor electrical maintenanceComplete all applicable documentation for actions takenReport job activity and maintain detailed logs of service calls, parts, and ordersRepresent the company during field service tasks with a "can do" attitudeIdentify and report safety issues to the proper customer representativeIdentify opportunities for upgrades at the customer facilityResearch task criteria prior to arriving on the work siteUse company vehicle to travel to and from job sites while maintaining defensive driving habits that reflect upon the company's reputationEssential Physical Functions / Equipment Used
Lift objects weighing up to 75 lbsStand, kneel, and walk for long periodsClimb ladders and stairs in an industrial environmentWork at heights using fall protectionBe available for occasional call-ins and overnight travel to various locations and customer sitesDuties performed indoors & outdoors with exposure to weather, heavy equipment, power tools, clean rooms, animal bites, dirt, and noisePreferred Education / Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate's Degree / Technical Degree preferred2+ years of experience installing, maintaining, and repairing process / control equipment (instrumentation, valves, actuators, pumps, etc.)Strong computer proficiency – ability to operate various electronic / microcomputer instruments used to measure and control variables such as pressure, flow, temperature, and levelStrong mechanical proficiency – ability to use hand tools and power toolsElectrical / electrician experienceTubing, tray, and instrument stand installation experienceIndustrial safety trainingPLC programming and troubleshootingProgramming and troubleshooting drivesWork Environment
