Paid Bi-weekly

Multiple positions / shifts are available. All SLPN's working 2nd or 3rd shift will be eligible for $1.00 / hr. shift differential.

Paid vacation and sick leave. Nine (9) paid holidays and personal day. Tuition waiver available for State Universities and Community Colleges (up to 6 credits per semester).

From funds available, new employees as well as returning employees that have been separated from the Agency for a period of twelve (12) months or more may be eligible for a sign-on bonus of $2,000. This amount will be paid out over a one year period at 6-month intervals. Any employee leaving employment with the agency or moving to OPS prior to that timeframe will forfeit any additional bonus reimbursement. There is no guarantee of payment unless you complete the term of employment. If you leave prior to completion of the term, you are owed nothing by the Agency, and the recoupment of any previously paid bonus amount will be at the Agency's discretion.

The FDVA Nursing State Veterans' Nursing Homes are designated employment sites for the Nursing Student Loan Forgiveness Program

• From funds available, the program may make nursing education loan repayments of up to $4000 per year, per nurse enrolled in the program, for a maximum of four years.
• Payment is made at the end of each 12-month enrollment period and made directly to the participant's lender.
• Enrollment and payment of awards is based on available funds.
• Other Senior Licensed Practical Nurse, including OPS (Temporary) positions, may be filled from this advertisement within six (6) months of the closing date.

POSITION DESCRIPTION :

The incumbent is responsible for providing quality care to the residents to ensure their health, safety, and security in accordance with established agency Standard Operating Procedures and Nurse Practice Act. Incumbent reports to the Nursing Supervisor.

This position is in the Career Service system.
