What to Expect
The Application Support Technician will provide essential support to the manufacturing floor, addressing various needs such as coordinating and delegating tasks, troubleshooting IT issues, maintaining printers, reviewing SOPs, processing data, and delivering tactical support for implementing changes.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively lead and motivate the team, fostering strong, positive relationships to build a cohesive and successful group.
Please note that this position requires full-time onsite presence.
What You'll Do
- Work with multiple departments in high pressure urgent need scenarios
- Resolve issues swiftly and accurately, ensuring tasks are completed and prioritized effectively
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to applications, software, and systems promptly to minimize downtime
- Perform repetitive detailed assignments and data processing tasks
- Collaborate with multiple departments in high-pressure situations
- Act as the primary contact for incident management, coordinating the resolution of critical system issues
- Troubleshoot basic network, software, and hardware related problems
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of issues, solutions, and user guides to streamline future support processes
- Prioritize and resolve multiple tasks efficiently in urgent scenarios
What You'll Bring
Experience troubleshooting basic network, software, and printing issuesFamiliarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)Proven experience with Microsoft Excel, SQL and basic PythonFamiliarity with configuring and printing using ZPL language on Zebra printers is a plusAbility to remain composed in high-pressure, urgent situations while managing competing demandsStrong knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft enterprise environmentsKnowledge of SQL queries and Splunk queries is a plusExperience working with PLC, Ignition is a plusFlexibility to work weekends and any shiftAbility to carry heavier work equipment and stand or walk for extended periods on the production floor while troubleshooting issues
