Armed Security Officer - Retail Site

As an Armed Security Officer - Retail Site in Corsicana, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls and more.

As a Patrol Armed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to deter security-related incidents within a dynamic retail environment. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the location, maintaining a strong presence to help discourage unwanted activity, and responding promptly to any security-related concerns. You will interact with customers and staff, providing exceptional service and clear communication while upholding Allied Universal's values of agility, reliability, and innovation. This armed post requires you to maintain a professional demeanor at all times, demonstrating integrity and teamwork as you contribute to a welcoming and secure atmosphere for everyone on site. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Tue 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

Sun 12 : 00 PM - 11 : 30 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, responding to situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing training and protocols appropriate for an armed patrol post.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to identify any security-related concerns.
  • Monitor for suspicious behavior or situations within the retail environment and report findings according to established procedures.
  • Support access control by verifying credentials and assisting with entry procedures as required.
  • Assist in emergency response activities, following established protocols for various scenarios.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
