Job Title : CNC Maintenance Technician
Employee Type : Full Time, Hourly
Reports to : Facilities & Maintenance Manager
Job Location : Wichita, KS, USA
Experience : 5+ years in CNC machine maintenance
Pay Rate is dependent upon years and level of experience
Hours / Shift : 1st Shift (Mon-Fri; 7am-4 : 30pm), 2nd Shift (Mon-Fri; 4pm-12 : 30am)
Job Duties :
- Independently diagnoses and repair unusual and difficult electronic, electrical, hydraulic and mechanical malfunctions of computer controlled electronics and subsystems to optimum operating condition
- Regularly uses a wide variety of test equipment including oscilloscopes, frequency counters, function generators, stroboscopes, laser measurement equipment, voltmeters and ammeters in machine diagnoses and repair
- Becomes thoroughly familiar with and adheres to machine operation and adjustment procedures, lubrication and alignment requirements and preventive maintenance instructions, including adjusts, calibrates and verifies operational performance of subsystems and their integration with other systems
- Assists in developing and performing preventive maintenance including periodic inspection, testing and servicing of machines
- Works from specific instructions, maintenance manuals, manufacturer’s specifications, safety regulations, codes, blueprints, diagrams and other general operating instructions
- Maintains documentation and service records as required
- Works with equipment manufacturer's service personnel during installation, alignment, calibration, repair or modification of machines
- Installation, maintenance and repair of machine and machine components
- Testing machines and troubleshooting in case of problems
- Recording the performance of each machine with regard to intake and output and present it to management
- Suggest ways to improve the performance of machines
- Maintenance of the equipment required for installation and repair of machines
- All other projects as assigned by management
Requirements :
5+ years of experience as a machine maintenance technician in a manufacturing environmentExperience working with SNK, DNG, Makino, and Mori Seiki, preferredExperience repairing a wide variety of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic principles and their application to machine tools and factory equipmentKnowledge of basic electronic and mechanical principlesAble to operate and interpret data from standard electronic instrumentation such as digital multimeters, power analyzes and oscilloscopesMust be competent in the use of blueprint and schematic materials and in using a wide range of appropriate machine diagnostic equipmentKnowledge of installation and repair of machines and correct tool usage to include meters and other devices to measure accuracyKnowledge of permissible standards to be maintained for machinesAbility to analyze, identify and rectify problemsKnowledge of safety precautions while working with machinesFamiliar with building codes, electrical, and plumbing codesProven attendance recordOrganizational skills along with the ability to multi-task while being self-motivatedExcellent verbal skills and ability to train othersAbility to speak, read, write, and understand English languageHigh school education or equivalent and two years specialized training in mechanical / electronics repairWorking Conditions :

Frequently being on foot, bending, stooping, squatting, kneeling, climb stairs and kneeling and / or crouch to retrieve files and other items. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate small power tools and other equipment. Writing to complete reports and service requests. Occasionally Lifting and carrying (with assistance) items weighing 75-150 lbs. Must be able to wear safety PPE equipment, as required.
