The CP has the option to have this completed the first day in CCH Occupational Health for $26.00BLS - Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (American Heart Association)ARRTDepartment Cardiac Cath Lab department that opened in May 2022 and has 1 suite.  They average 6-10 cases per week.Misc of 2 years experience as an Interventional Cardiovascular Technician or Cath Lab Technologist required.  Requirements :   BLS and ACLS issued by American Heart Association and registration as RCIS or ARRT.  Shift :   8 hour shifts; 7 : 30AM-4 : 00PM, Monday-Friday.  Call will be required during weeknights and weekends.  Hours are not guaranteed the first week of assignment, the last week, or when the department is closed (i.e. holidays). Dress code :   Hospital scrubs are provided.  May utilize their own skull cap but must be laundered by facility.  Provides direct, safe, competent and high quality patient care in the Cath Lab.  Assists in the performance of various invasive cardia and peripheral vascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. Functions under the direction of the cardiologist / radiologist performing the procedure.JOB DUTIES : Assist with confirmation that pre-op requirements are complete per hospital policy. Demonstrates appropriate communication skills with all disciplines. Functions as the scrub assist to the cardiologist / radiologist following sterility guidelines. Assists physician during procedures by operating ancillary equipment, anticipating needs. Demonstrates the ability to assess cardiopulmonary and cardiovascular systems pre, intra and post op.  Able to recognize, evaluate and record hemodynamics, pressure wave forms and EKG wave forms. Identifies and updates the physician of any adverse physiological changes. Demonstrates knowledge of cardiac, emergency, anxiolytic, anticoagulation, antiplatelet and thrombolytic drugs and IV fluids.  Ensures communication for documentation of medications with RN. Maintains hemostasis of vessels post procedure using appropriate devices. Adheres to sterile and aseptic techniques per AORN guidelines. Verifies the operation of imaging equipment for all procedures and verifies the integrity of the equipment prior to start of procedure.  Assists with supplies and ordering as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by persons in charge. Guaranteed Hours : 36 Contract Weeks : 89
