PCU RN Job Details Location : Louisville, KY 40241 (Kentucky healthcare jobs) Unit : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Position Type : Travel Registered Nurse (locum tenens) Assignment Start : October 19, 2025 Assignment End : January 17, 2026 Contract Length : 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Shift : 12-hour nights (6 : 45pm – 7 : 15am), every other weekend Floating : May float to similar units within scope as needed Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860 - $1910 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Kentucky Registered Nurse (RN) license Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient acute care RN experience (PCU or step-down unit preferred) Current certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing required) Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills PCU RN Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and ongoing reassessments per hospital policy Develop, implement, and revise individualized care plans for PCU patients Collaborate with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal outcomes Monitor, document, and evaluate patient responses to clinical interventions Educate patients and families on care, treatment, and discharge planning Delegate and supervise tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel; serve as mentor / preceptor to new staff Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and service excellence initiatives Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and participate in Practice Governance Apply now to join our Louisville healthcare team as a travel PCU Registered Nurse and take your nursing career to the next level!
