Job Description

As a Fitter / Welder, you will be responsible for fabricating a wide range of miscellaneous metal projects. This includes cutting and welding metal pieces and products using flame-cutting and hand-welding equipment.

Minimum Starting Salary :  $22.00 - $30.00 per hour - depending on experience (Full-time Alamo employees are eligible for shift differential pay)

Shifts Available :

Day Shift | Monday - Friday 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm            Night Shift | Monday - Thursday 4 : 00pm to 2 : 30am

Essential Functions :

• Prepare, assemble, and tack weld parts and surfaces to be welded.
• Maintain, organize, and keep work area and equipment in operating condition.
• Hand-weld and / or flame-cut equipment to join metal components.
• Cut and scarf using an oxy-acetylene torch.
• Structural welding using FCAW & SMAW.
• Align and fit parts according to specifications using jacks, turnbuckles, wedges, drift pins, pry bars, and hammers.
• Properly assemble and disassemble weld setups.
• Remove high spots and cut bevels using hand files, portable grinders, and cutting torches.
• Reshape metal workpieces to establish specifications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
