Licensed Lead Security Officer - Samaritan Hospital - FT Evenings
Supervises subordinate Security Staff including Security Officers and Parking Attendants.

Responsibilities : Shift Supervisor :
Assigns subordinate personnel to specific posts and dutiesMonitors the activity of subordinate and ensures staff follows established policies, procedures and guidelinesCompletes all necessary paper work including but not limited to blotter entries, shift reports, incident reports and property reportsAnswers incoming telephone callsDispatches personnel including facilities and security staff to calls for serviceMonitors all alarms and systems in the Security Command CenterSells parking permits and issues parking passes pursuant to hospital and department policies and proceduresOther Duties Include but are not limited to :
Is responsible for the safekeeping of all patient property and valuables in the custody of the Protective Services / Security DepartmentIs responsible for the safekeeping of all funds stored in the departmental safe relative to the Hospital's Visitor Parking ProgramIs responsible for all activity inside the Security Command Center insuring that the suite remains safe and that no unauthorized personnel enter the areaResponds to all calls for serviceInsures that subordinate staff conduct all security roundsPerforms Fire Drills as scheduled in conjunction with the Safety Manager or their designeePerforms all other duties as assignedWhat you will need :
NYS Security License and current Training CertificateActive Police officer certification; active police officers will need to obtain NYS security guard license within 90 days of hireHigh School Diploma / GED2 year's experience preferredValid NYS Driver's LicenseComputer skills, good oral, written communications, interpersonal and analytical skills sufficient to document investigative activities.Pay Range :
$27.50 - $38.06 Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
