Assistant Business Office Manager – Drive Skilled Nursing Financial Excellence

Are you an organized, proactive financial professional ready to make an impact in a Skilled Nursing Facility? We’re looking for an experienced Assistant Business Office Manager (ABOM) to support our business office operations while ensuring resident satisfaction, transparency, and compliance.

You’ll support residents and families with clear communication, help the Business Office Manager drive operational excellence, and contribute to the overall success of our facility.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist the Business Office Manager in daily business office operations.
  • Manage resident billing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure correct billing and collections for Medicare, Medicaid, private insurance, and private pay.
  • Maintain precise financial records and reports in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support payroll processing, budgeting, and financial reporting tasks.
  • Partner with admissions to verify resident financial documentation.
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with residents and families regarding financial matters.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to support overall facility operations.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

What You Bring

  • Minimum 2 years of business office experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF).
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing practices.
  • High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to guide residents and families through financial processes.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all situations.
