General Liability Associate Attorney

Wilson Elser's New Orleans office is looking for a General Liability Associate Attorney to join a team of exceptional professionals in a collaborative environment to represent sophisticated clients confronted with complex legal challenges.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated attorney early in their career seeking to grow professionally and contribute to the success of the firm. The Associate will gain experience with and exposure to practice areas including general liability, insurance defense, commercial litigation, premises & product liability, property rights, transportation and labor & employment litigation.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the state of Louisiana
• 2+ years of defense experience
• Experience with litigation involving general liability, construction, premises, products, transportation, employment, or insurance preferred
• Superior communication, writing, analytical and research skills
• Preparing discovery requests, objections and responses to discovery requests, and motions and briefing relating to discovery disputes
• Handling court appearances and depositions a plus
