Contract Manager

The Contract Manager plays a critical role in overseeing contract-related processes including vendor agreements, government programs, employment contracts, and insurance arrangements. This role ensures contracts are reviewed, tracked, and processed in a compliant and efficient manner, supporting internal departments and aligning with regulatory and funding requirements.

The organization is a mission-driven organization that provides comprehensive care through integrated medical, dental, behavioral health, and supportive services. It operates as a regional health system, incorporating Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC), Certified Community Behavioral Health Centers (CCBHC), Drug Medi-Cal and Specialty Mental Health programs, a 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline Center, and a Risk Bearing Organization.

The organization is accredited by the Joint Commission for Ambulatory Care and Behavioral Health, and certified as a Primary Care Medical Home and Behavioral Health Home. Crisis programs are also accredited by the American Association of Suicidology and the International Council for Helplines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • 3+ years in contract administration, legal support, grants administration, or nonprofit compliance
  • Knowledge of contract language and legal terminology
  • Familiarity with federal / state programs, audits, and nonprofit procurement standards
  • Strong attention to detail and document accuracy
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, DocuSign, SharePoint, or similar systems
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information professionally
  • Independent and collaborative work style in fast-paced environments
  • Commitment to HIPAA and professional ethics
  • Adherence to infection control protocols
  • Support departmental standards of High Reliability

Essential Responsibilities

  • Review, track, and process various types of contracts
  • Maintain centralized filing systems with version control
  • Monitor contract renewals and performance indicators
  • Ensure compliance with California nonprofit law and grant requirements
  • Prepare templates, amendments, and board-approved agreements
  • Coordinate with funders and vendors for documentation and signatures
  • Support Finance, HR, and Compliance teams with contract alignment
  • Prepare summaries, logs, and reports for leadership
  • Participate in cross-departmental meetings and recommend improvements
  • Maintain audit and grant documentation

    Office-based role with occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs), sitting, standing, and reaching. Requires close and distance vision, hearing, and speech for communication. May involve contact with individuals in crisis and exposure to bodily fluids or hazardous materials.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $27.00 / hr.
