Travel Occupational Therapist (OT) – Rehab

Location : Harrisonville, MO

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks

Start Date : 10 / 6 / 2025

Shift : Days, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts (flexible start time between 6 AM–10 AM, consistent with DOR approval)

Hours / Week : 35 guaranteed

Weekend Requirements : None

On Call Requirements : None

Job Summary :

The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, and implement treatment programs for patients with cognitive and / or ADL physical functioning disorders. This role includes direct patient care, treatment planning, documentation, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and independence.

Key Responsibilities :

Screen, evaluate, and develop treatment plans for patients with functional or cognitive impairments in compliance with regulatory standards.

Deliver skilled rehabilitative interventions including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities, exercises, modalities, and assistive device training.

Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and document outcomes in the clinical record.

Provide patient, family, and caregiver education regarding functional disorders and treatment strategies.

Prepare discharge summaries and ensure comprehensive documentation per regulatory requirements.

Accurately track and record treatment minutes.

Collaborate with supervisors and health team members on patient progress and barriers.

Participate in required care conferences, reviews, and team meetings.

Supervise and support OTAs, rehab aides, and students as needed.

Adhere to NBCOT / AOTA and state code of conduct and ethical practice standards.

Submission Requirements :

1+ year of OT experience – Required

New grads accepted with Level II fieldwork experience (not observation only)

LTC or Rehab experience – Required

Active OT license – Required
