Job Description
Northwest Texas Healthcare System, a 495-bed system serving Amarillo and the surrounding region, is seeking a Clinical Systems Analyst. This role supports and enhances clinical applications, collaborates with physicians and staff, and drives continuous improvement of clinical information systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support and management of clinical applications.
- Participate in the analysis, planning, design, development, testing, implementation, training, and maintenance of clinical systems.
- Perform system audits and assist in managing application security and integrity.
- Contribute to quality improvement processes for the department and the hospital.
- Evaluate user needs for clinical information systems and recommend solutions to upper management.
- Assess workflow and recommend re-engineering for efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay abreast of new healthcare technologies and participate in strategic information-system planning.
- Coordinate projects to meet goals and deadlines.
- Develop and deliver training programs, documentation, and manuals to clinical staff, physicians, and office staff.
- Assist in developing and enforcing policies and procedures related to clinical information management.
- Make regular rounds to interact with users, assist them, and monitor workflow issues.
- Work with corporate office to coordinate system-wide initiatives.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare standards, regulations, and legal implications of clinical information systems.
- Project a professional image and promote Service Excellence principles in all interactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Follow all compliance programs and regulatory guidelines of Northwest Texas Healthcare System.

Current state of Texas nursing license / permit to practice or comparable clinical licensure, or equivalent clinical experience.Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of two years patient-care experience.Minimum of two years experience in a position requiring demonstrated leadership skills.Minimum of two years experience working with healthcare-related software programs.Public speaking, communication and technical writing skills.Physical and Sensory Requirements
