Senior Manager, Payer Programs (Optical)
As Senior Manager, Payer Programs (Optical), you will serve as the primary relationship manager for multiple national and regional vision payers, advancing Walmart's optical strategy through high-impact partnerships and contract negotiations. You will lead the development and execution of contracting strategies including pricing, terms, and language to secure agreements that strengthen Walmart's market position and deliver value to patients and payers.
Own payer relationships acting as the key liaison to influence strategic priorities, resolve escalations, and drive long-term collaboration.
Lead contract strategy and negotiations across multiple payers balancing strategic, financial, regulatory, and operational considerations to achieve favorable outcomes.
Partner cross-functionally with Legal, Compliance, Provider Relations, Enrollment, Credentialing, and Billing to ensure operational readiness, contract compliance, and seamless implementation.
Lead and influence executive-level discussions with Payer leadership to secure alignment and approvals for pricing strategies, contract language, and deal terms ensuing decisions support Walmart's strategic, financial, and compliance objectives.

As a part of Walmart Health & Wellness, the Optical Contracting team builds and manages strategic relationships with vision payers ensuring our patients have access to routine vision care.
Extensive experience in healthcare payer contracting with direct responsibility for negotiating, structuring, and managing contracts with vision or healthcare payers.
Proven ability to manage executive-level relationships with multiple national and regional payers.
Strong financial and analytical skills to evaluate pricing models, assess financial impact, and ensure alignment with Walmart's strategic objectives.
Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex contracting challenges, anticipate payer needs, and design innovative solutions that achieve business objectives.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills to drive alignment across Walmart and Vision Payer stakeholders.
Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree and 4 years' experience in billing, healthcare, legal, or related area OR 6 years' experience in billing, healthcare, legal, or related area. 1 years' supervisory experience.
