About The Position

Position Description

  • Pediatrix Medical Group is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join our dynamic team of Neonatologists and NNPs at Atrium Health Navicent Beverly Knight Olson Children’s Hospital in Macon, Georgia. This is an exciting opportunity to practice in a state-of-the-art, Magnet-Designated Children’s Hospital , home to the only dedicated pediatric facility in central and south Georgia.
  • 66-bed Level-III NICU in a new 50,000 sq. ft. facility (opened 2019)
  • Variable schedule : 10-hour weekday shifts (M–Th), 8-hour weekend shifts, and dedicated 16-hour night coverage (no call)
  • Advanced neonatal services : high-frequency ventilation, nitric oxide, brain cooling
  • Strong support from subspecialists and a collaborative, experienced NNP team
  • Clinical faculty appointment available at Mercer Medical School
  • Atrium Health Navicent :
  • Level-I Trauma Center
  • One of six perinatal / neonatal regional centers in Georgia
  • Three-time Magnet-Designated Hospital for nursing excellence

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree and / or Doctorate in Nursing – Required
  • Board Certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) – Required
  • Cannot accept FNP, PNP, or other NP certifications
  • Active Georgia license (or willingness to obtain) – Required
  • Minimum 2+ years of current NNP experience (excluding RN experience) – Required
  • DEA license (must be obtained prior to start) – Required
