Senior Underwriter Health & Life Sciences
As a Senior Underwriter, you will be a key member of the Underwriting team. Further, you will act as the Health and Life Sciences subject matter expert for underwriting across all products and coverage. You will underwrite larger and more complex accounts while also acting as the practice leader for Health and Life Sciences.
Over time you will be responsible for building out our Health and Life Sciences Advisor team and managing the book comprehensively in partnership with our Account Management team. While growing the team, you will shift your personal focus up-market to bring in and manage the highest value clients.
Job Duties :
- Own the key performance indicators for our Health and Life Sciences book of business from brand-building to client acquisition and retention
- Build and manage the Vouch Health and Life Sciences practice by helping the team deepen their understanding of these risks across a number of lines.
- Act as a center of excellence by guiding a hyper-effective team and write the playbook for the Health and Life Sciences category
- Develop and implement underwriting guidelines for the Health and Life Sciences book of business
- Collaborate with key distribution partners to expand Health and Life Sciences capabilities
- Educate our colleagues and distribution partners as the expert on Health and Life Sciences insurance

The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
Please note that this position is hybrid and requires two (2) days in our office weekly
