Phoenix Systems is growing, and we are looking for an experienced Audio / Video installation technician with Control4 certification(s) to join our team. Candidates should be self-motivated, personable, and of good character, with a passion for custom electronics, installation, and providing world-class service to high-end clients.

Responsibilities
- Perform service, installation, and activation of security systems, surround sound systems, system components, speakers, TV hangs, remote controls, shades, screens, advanced lighting controls, and systems requiring Control4 automation and programming.
- Communicate with customers to review work orders, answer questions professionally.
- Instruct and train customers on system functions and operation.
- Have in-depth knowledge of security systems operation, functions, and wiring requirements.
- Understand security systems Phoenix Systems installs and services (NX, SimonXTi, 2Gig, DSC, Qolsys, etc.).
- Handle after-hours emergency service calls (on a rotation basis).
- Create and edit Control4 IR Drivers.
- Install and program shades and screens.
- Terminate multimode fiber ends with appropriate tools.
- Calibrate advanced projectors and receivers for optimal video and sound.
- Resolve technical issues independently.
- Perform duties of Trim Tech II / III and A / V Security Technician II as needed.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of experience with security / AV installations.Active Control4 Associate Installer & Automation Programmer certifications (SnapAV required).Active Control4 PCNA Certification (preferred).Certifications in Centralized Lighting and Lutron Lighting (preferred).Knowledge of cable types, networking setup, and ability to assess system design.Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and provide excellent customer service.Must have or be willing to obtain necessary tools.Background check, drug screening, and MVR required.Physical & Work Environment
Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, talk, hear.Use step and extension ladders frequently.Lift up to 50 pounds regularly, occasional lifts up to 100 pounds.Work at active construction sites, exposed to temperature changes, dust, and moderate noise.Benefits
