Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot all aspects of factory-based electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Install, program, and provide technical support for PLC-based hardware and software, such as Allen-Bradley, GE, and Siemens.
- Test and maintain electronic equipment or machinery used in manufacturing and power transmission systems.
- Identify and troubleshoot network communication issues and electrical problems on conveyor systems, motors, drives, and pumps.
- Use computer-assisted engineering and design software to perform assignments.
- Evaluate existing components and systems to ensure ongoing reliability and support of integrated equipment and machinery.
- Develop, modify, or write operator interfaces and other platforms.
- Understand OSHA electrical safety regulations, including NFPA-70E, LOTO, and Safe Cell Entry.
- Supervise and guide plant maintenance technicians as required.
Project Execution
Interpret production requirements, address design parameters, and resolve engineering problems to ensure accurate and budget-compliant solutions.Perform technical calculations supporting design, including electrical requirements, robotic safety standards, and motor controls.Oversee project workflow, coordinate resources, and ensure timely, quality, and budget-compliant project delivery.Design electrical and software solutions for manufacturing automation and safety systems, maintaining project scope.Support manufacturing, build, and validation of automation and safety systems, including pneumatics, servos, VFDs, relays, communication networks, touchscreens, pushbuttons, robotic integration, and electrical drawings.Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills, working independently and in teams.Be proactive, resourceful, and motivated, with strong communication skills to manage multiple projects in a high-output environment.Required Education and Key Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field, or 3-5+ years of industry experience in Electrical Controls / System Engineering.Proficiency in ladder logic, particularly Allen-Bradley Systems (PLC5, SLC, ControlLogix 5000-5580).Skills in HMI Design, preferably FactoryTalk View, Ignition, WonderWare, and LabVIEW.Familiarity with Ethernet / IP and basic networking.Knowledge of plant power distribution equipment and controls.Experience with robot teach points and programming code understanding.This job posting is active and available.
