Allied Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

  • Full-time position working 36 hours per week
  • Schedule includes 2 twelve-hour day shifts and 1 twelve-hour night shift
  • Variable day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM
  • Night shift from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM
  • 13-week assignment duration
  • Maintain ongoing surveillance of patient cardiac monitors
  • Provide immediate notification to RNs and clinicians of cardiac rhythm changes
  • Measure and interpret patient heart rhythms and document per department standards
  • Perform ectopy checks twice per shift
  • Complete daily telemetry box maintenance
  • Handle telephone communication with units and providers
  • Perform accurate charging of telemetry and chart maintenance
  • Conduct EKG procedures
  • Initiate and discontinue monitoring equipment for admissions, transfers, and discharges
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Must complete York Hospital Clinical and Professional Development Dysrhythmia Course and EKG exam
  • BLS certification required
  • Two years experience monitoring ECG / Dysrhythmia in physician's office, clinic, hospital, or similar setting required
  • Knowledge of basic heart anatomy and physiology required
  • Must be able to work under moderate pressure for extended periods
