Instructional Assistant
Location : Inglewood, CA

We’re currently seeking caring, adaptable individuals who want to make a lasting impact in a school-based environment as an Instructional Assistant supporting students in an after-school program setting supporting Inglewood Unified School District Elementary Schools (TK-6th grade students).
Pay Range : $18 - $21 per hour, based on experience
Work Schedule :
Tuesday (Minimum Day) from 2 : 00 PM – 4 : 30 PM
2025-2026 School Year following Inglewood Unified School District calendar.
Minimum Education : High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or a degree is a plus.
Who You Are
You’re patient, dependable, and ready to support students with diverse learning needs. If you have experience working with children, whether through camps, childcare, tutoring, after-school programs, or sports, we’d love to meet you!
What You’ll Bring
You’re at least 18 and authorized to work in the U.S.
Reliable transportation to and from the school site.
Strong English language skills, reading, writing, and speaking.
Basic math skills to help students succeed.
Good organizational habits to keep learning on track.
Physically able to stay active throughout the school day.
Prior experience supporting kids is highly valued.
What You’ll Do
Support students in academic and enrichment activities, reinforcing learning and promoting participation.
Provide homework help and guidance in reading, writing, math, science, and other subjects.
Assist with positive behavior management strategies and encourage cooperation and social interaction.
Provide one-on-one or group support to students with varying learning needs.
Help organize and prepare materials for activities, projects, and lessons.
Supervise students during program activities, recreation, and transitions to ensure safety.
Support students with special needs or disabilities in accessing materials, technology, and participation.
Model respectful communication, inclusion, and positive engagement.
Provide personal care and hygiene support when needed, including toileting assistance.
Collaborate with after-school coordinators, teachers, and behavior staff to support student success.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
