Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant - Surgical Services (PRN)

Sampson Regional Medical Center is hiring a Unit Secretary / Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Surgical Services team!

Description :

The selected applicant will perform general clerical duties which include preparing, completing and maintaining medical records and logs in the Surgical Services Department. Assist the perioperative care team in many aspects of patient care; including but not limited to, patient care assistance, care of environment, transportation of patients, supplies / equipment, transportation of specimens and blood products to, from, and within the surgical unit.

Requirements :

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• High School diploma required.
• Must possess skills and abilities to administer basic hands-on care to patient in a surgical environment acquired through previous experience or in-house training before working independently.
