Thrift Associate – Position Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Thrift Store Associates to join our team. In this role, you will assist with daily thrift store operations, including sorting donations, pricing items, and providing excellent customer service. Your work will contribute to raising funds that support patient care and essential hospice services.

Responsibilities

• Pricing and Merchandising : Price, stock, and merchandise display items for sale to create an inviting and organized shopping experience.
• Store Operations : Open, close, and ensure the thrift shop operates properly during regularly scheduled hours, maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency.
• Volunteer Coordination : Work with volunteers, providing guidance and orientation to thrift shop procedures, office protocols, and safety precautions.
• Financial Management : Maintain accurate receipts of all sales and donations; ensure daily deposits are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
• Customer Service : Greet customers and provide assistance and information about merchandise and the organization's mission.
• Facility Maintenance : Ensure shop, offices, and bathrooms are clean and safe; rotate on a regular schedule to maintain cleanliness and organization.
• Autonomy : Work independently to perform duties and support the shop's mission.
