Cyber Security Engineer

A company is looking for a Cyber Security Engineer for a Contract-to-Hire position, which is 100% remote.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a subject matter expert for the cybersecurity operations team and handle SIEM platform issues

Contribute to the development of enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategies and report security gaps to leadership

Develop effective correlation rules, tune SIEM components, and assist with investigations and incident responses

Required Qualifications

5+ years of Information Technology experience

3+ years of Cybersecurity experience specializing in SIEM design and implementation

BS in Computer Science or equivalent field preferred; related job experience may substitute

GIAC-GCED, GCDA, GDSA, GMON, or equivalent industry-standard security certifications preferred

Working knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK and familiarity with security frameworks like CIS Top 20 and NIST
