We're excited about the future and invite passionate professionals to join us in delivering exceptional care every day.About the role : As a Registered Veterinary Technician in the Internal Medicine department, some duties you will be responsible for include : Provide compassionate care and monitoring for animals admitted to the internal medicine department.Assist with a variety of diagnostic procedures including blood work, imaging, and endoscopy.Administer medications, IV fluids, and wound care treatments under veterinarian supervision.Communicate effectively with pet owners, offering guidance on their pet's condition and treatment options.Maintain accurate medical records and ensure equipment is properly maintained and sterilized.Assist veterinarians during procedures such as biopsies and aspiration cytology.Stay updated on advancements in internal medicine through continuing education.Collaborate closely with other veterinary professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.Advocate for the well-being of patients, ensuring they receive appropriate care and treatment.Other duties as assigned.Compensation : $32 - $38 hourly determined by role and experience level.$5.50 / hr paid differential for any hours worked between 6pm-6amSchedule : 7 : 30am-5 : 30pm Monday-Thursday No weekends!Basic required qualifications : High school diplomaValid and current Registered Veterinary Technician license in the state of California.Calm, professional demeanor.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Reliable time management and problem-solving skills; working efficiently and effectively throughout the hospital.Multi-task various duties and responsibilities in a timely and reliable manner, with appropriate follow-through and accuracy.Ability to work well independently as well as with a team.Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculationsHigh level of venipuncture skills, math calculations, and patient handlingPreferred qualifications : Experience in Specialty Veterinary Medicine, with a focus on internal medicine.Benefits : Highly competitive and comparable wages based on experience and skill set.Competitive Vet Assistant and RVT CE allowance annuallyLicense application and renewal reimbursement for RVT'sFinancial support and onsite mentorship toward pursuit of VTSHealth and wellness programs Opportunities for growth and advancement We also pay YOU when you hit major career milestones, earn your RVT or your VTS and get a cash bonus!In-house RACE-approved courses and staff development opportunities for all employees!Get paid to learn!
