Med / Surg RN Job Details – Kearney, NE Location : Kearney, Nebraska 68845 (Nebraska travel nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care – Medical-Surgical Unit (23 beds) Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 3 / 2025 – End : 2 / 2 / 2026) Shift : 12-hour nights (18 : 00–06 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week Estimated Weekly Pay : $1930 - $2070 Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Charting System : EPIC Floating : May float to Progressive Care Unit (PCU) for Medical-Surgical assignments unless telemetry trained Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Nebraska or compact state Minimum 1 year of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience required Current certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Ability to work every other weekend and one holiday during the contract (if applicable) Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Provide safe, compassionate, and evidence-based nursing care to diverse adult patients in the Medical-Surgical unit Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and progress using EPIC electronic health records Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions as prescribed Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge instructions Float to PCU for Medical-Surgical assignments as needed Why Choose Kearney, Nebraska for Your Next Travel Nursing Assignment?
