We’re partnering with a fantastic client in Irvine to find a seasoned Human Resources Specialist who thrives in a collaborative, pet-friendly office environment (yes, dogs are occasionally around!). This is a non-entry-level opportunity for HR professionals with a strong foundation in onboarding, benefits administration, and workers’ compensation. If you’re someone who values longevity and is open to occasionally covering the front desk, we’d love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead onboarding and orientation processes, including background checks, drug testing, and credentialing.
Administer employee benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans).
Manage workers’ compensation claims and ensure compliance with regulations.
Maintain detailed case records and communicate with providers and employees.
Provide reception coverage as needed.
Support HR policy implementation and employee relations.
Maintain accurate employee records and ensure confidentiality.
Prepare reports for regulatory agencies and ensure legal compliance.
5+ years of hands-on HR experience (onboarding, benefits, workers’ comp).
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Comfortable in a dynamic office setting with occasional front desk duties.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
Open to HR Specialists and Generalists — not seeking Managers or higher-level candidates.
Great team and culture.
Pet-friendly office (dogs may be present).
