About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 12

Experience : 1 year in a PCU setting required

License : Florida State or compact license required at the time of submission

Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required

Must-Have : EPIC experience required

First-timers not accepted

Description :

Years of experience required : 1 year.

Patient ratios on the unit are 1 : 5.

Weekends required : every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period, to be determined by unit needs.

On-call requirements : No.

Travelers will have a home base but may float to other units or locations as needed.

Block scheduling cannot be guaranteed.

Pending licenses are not accepted.

Local candidates accepted at the same rate as travelers.

Contracted hours guaranteed.

Medical or religious exemptions for the flu vaccine required.

Two references from authority figures within the last year must be included.

COVID-19 vaccine required with medical or religious exemptions only.

Job Requirements and Qualifications :

Patient ratio experience of 5.

Charting system experience is required.

Travel experience is required.

Skills required include arterial line management, cardiac telemetry, neuro stepdown, managing dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs, telemonitoring, and more.

Relevant patient diagnoses include chest pain, sepsis, COPD, and traumatic brain injury.

Additional unit information includes interdisciplinary support from various services.

The average daily census is 34, with 36 beds available.
