We are looking for an experienced Controller to oversee financial operations within a dynamic manufacturing environment in Hialeah, Florida. This role involves managing a team to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate brings expertise in both private and public accounting, with a strong preference for experience in the manufacturing sector.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of up to 10 accounting and finance staff, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with industry standards.
- Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure operational integrity.
- Collaborate with leadership to provide insights and recommendations on financial strategies and business performance.
- Monitor and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial planning processes.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry-specific standards.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Support the implementation of financial systems and tools to streamline operational processes.
- Provide mentorship and training to team members to enhance their attention to detail and growth.
- Proven experience in a Controller role within a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
- Background in both private and public accounting, showcasing a well-rounded financial expertise.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of managing teams effectively.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and internal controls.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and senior leadership.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification is a plus.
