Job Description

Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed for a contract position located in Brockton, MA. This role focuses on supporting students' developmental and functional abilities through targeted OT interventions within the school setting.

Key Details :

  • Contract position in a school environment
  • Extended School Year (ESY) commitment from 7 / 8 to 8 / 9
  • Scheduled availability on Wednesday mornings during ESY
  • Potential to provide OT services 3 days per week during the school year (details still being finalized)

Responsibilities :

  • Deliver occupational therapy services to students to enhance their ability to participate fully in school activities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs and educational goals
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student progress regularly, adjusting therapy plans as necessary
  • Participate in meetings related to students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

    • Desired Qualifications :

  • Licensed Occupational Therapist qualified to provide school-based services
  • Experience working with children in educational settings preferred
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with educational staff and families
  • Knowledge of current best practices in pediatric occupational therapy
  • Flexibility to accommodate changes in schedule and caseload
