Join a fast-growing, employee-owned Water / Wastewater consulting engineering firm as a Project Engineer II Hydraulic Modeler. We are seeking a career-minded civil or environmental engineer to lead hydraulic modeling projects, including water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems, across the Mid-Atlantic. Key Responsibilities :
- Lead hydraulic modeling projects using software such as InfoWorks, WaterGEMS, XPSWMM, PCSWMM, KY Pipe, and EPA-SWMM.
- Develop, analyze, and calibrate hydraulic models for water, sewer, and stormwater systems.
- Perform alternative studies, assess system performance, predict future issues, and recommend solutions.
- Prepare technical deliverables, calculations, reports, and engineering designs in compliance with client specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Support project management tasks including budgeting, scheduling, and scope development.
- Coordinate modeling team efforts and delegate project tasks effectively.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers in hydraulic modeling techniques and project workflows.
- Collaborate with internal teams, sub-consultants, and clients, providing timely updates and consultative solutions.
- Conduct quality control and assurance reviews on technical documents and project deliverables.
- Participate in fieldwork as needed to support modeling and design activities.
Required Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.8-10+ years of experience in water / wastewater engineering with hydraulic modeling expertise.Proficiency in hydraulic modeling, transient analyses, data management, and GIS tools.Strong Microsoft Office skills.Experience in sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, engineering economics, and technical report writing.Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.Preferred Qualifications :
Professional Engineer (PE) license.Experience working with county- and state-level clients in the Mid-Atlantic region.Working Conditions :
