A Porter is responsible for safely and efficiently performing general labor duties at a hauling company. Responsibilities may include such things as yard clean-up, fueling vehicles and equipment, general vehicle operation, general office maintenance, and other related duties.

Compensation : $17 hourly

Responsibilities :

• Clean up work areas
• Fuel vehicles and equipment
• Clean track on track type, and related equipment
• Perform yard work, including mowing and paper pick up
• Operate general site vehicles and equipment
• Maintain a professional demeanor with other team members
• Perform general office maintenance and repairs, including painting and janitorial work
• Operates a loader, forklift, or other equipment to move material to a designated area
• Clean designated areas of the facility, both inside and outside, according to established standards of cleanliness and safety
• Ensure that assigned areas of the building are maintained in a clean, orderly, and safe manner
• Report maintenance concerns or safety issues to management promptly
• Maintain a professional demeanor with other team members
• Complete daily tasks according to company policy and procedures, including but not limited to : lock-out notification, cleaning schedules, waste disposal procedures, operating a floor cleaner, sweeping, mopping, etc.
• Follow established procedures for reporting safety hazards, maintenance concerns, and other matters that may arise
• Coordinates with the Supervisor / Maintenance Manager to see what projects need to be completed for the day / week
• Performs routine maintenance and daily inspection on equipment, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning
• Keeps surrounding work areas clean
• Loads or unloads materials into or out of trailers
• Performs other duties as assigned.
