Summary : Position Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Staff Psychiatrist to provide comprehensive psychiatric care within a dynamic, interdisciplinary team environment. In this role, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, serving as a key leader in developing and implementing effective, patient-centered treatment plans. The ideal candidate is a collaborative professional committed to clinical excellence and ongoing education.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management.
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans, providing clinical direction and leadership on interdisciplinary treatment teams.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential patient records, including comprehensive social and medical histories.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment plans and patient progress.
- Analyze and evaluate patient data and test findings to formulate precise diagnoses and guide treatment interventions.
- Engage in continuing education to maintain professional licensure, uphold the standards of the medical field, and comply with all organizational bylaws, rules, and regulations.
- Actively participate in selected standing hospital committees, providing valuable input within your area of expertise.
Qualifications & Experience
Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.Board Certification in General Psychiatry.Completion of an accredited residency training program in Psychiatry.Unrestricted, valid license to practice medicine in the state of Indiana issued by the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities :
Proficient knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for the diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of mental and behavioral disorders.Strong understanding of human behavior, individual differences, learning, motivation, and psychological research methods.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and members of the healthcare team.Ability to understand and operate effectively within the broader contexts and systems of healthcare delivery.Capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.Syra Health is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity at all levels.
