We are recruiting for an Operations & Growth Manager for an amazing mortgage company based in San Diego, CA. This is a high-visibility role responsible for overseeing operations, compliance, and investor coordination. You’ll optimize processes, ensure compliance with investor and regulatory requirements, manage communications, and directly support loan officers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead departmental communications and respond to loan officer and investor inquiries promptly.
- Provide training and guidance on banking, compliance, and operational requirements via webinars, office hours, and one-on-one check-ins.
- Track and ensure completion of required investor and regulatory training (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, UCDP, MERS, etc.). Loan & Investor Coordination
- Serve as primary contact for appraisal orders, investor inquiries, and back-end fulfillment questions.
- Track loan pipelines and ensure delivery of notes to warehouse lines and investors.
- Monitor loan conditions and collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely clearance and purchase.
- Coordinate with investors to resolve loan delivery or purchase issues efficiently. Documentation & Posting
- Maintain and update departmental policies, procedures, and guidelines on the C2 Funding site.
- Manage investor communications, including servicing letters for Kind, PennyMac, and other investors.
- Enter financial and loan-related information into CRM system.
- Reconcile warehouse line balances and ensure compliance.
- Prepare and reconcile monthly P& L reports.
- 5+ years of mortgage operations experience, preferably in correspondent or non-delegated channels.
- Strong understanding of mortgage compliance requirements and investor guidelines.
- Proven experience in training, mentoring, or guiding loan officers or operations staff.
- Familiarity with warehouse lending, investor delivery, and loan reconciliation processes.
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Tech-savvy with experience using LOS platforms (e.g., ARIVE, Encompass, Synergy), investor portals, and compliance tools.
- Detail-oriented and proactive in improving processes.
