- ???? What You’ll Do in This Role :
Are you called to make a profound difference in the lives of others through spiritual support, compassion, and presence? Join our vibrant senior living community as a Chaplain , where your mission will be to uplift the hearts and spirits of our residents while honoring and celebrating their diverse beliefs. As our Chaplain, you will be a trusted source of comfort, strength, and inspiration—providing spiritual care, emotional support, and interfaith guidance to residents and families. You’ll walk alongside our residents offering peace, purpose, and connection in a compassionate environment that respects and embraces all faith traditions.
Primary Responsibilities :
Lead worship and spiritual growth opportunities that cater to all faith traditions.Embracing and respecting diverse religious and cultural backgrounds, fostering inclusivity.Host regular religious services for residents to engage in.Perform sacred rites such as penance, communion (Holy Eucharist), funerals, and other ceremonies upon request.Provide spiritual guidance to residents and staff during times of crisis, grief, or loss, offering comfort when needed.Support residents at the end of life, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect.Maintain and submit records of pastoral activities and ensure relevant information is included in resident medical records.Participate in committees and work groups as assigned to contribute to the overall community wellbeing.✅ What You’ll Need :
Bachelor’s degree in human service field and Master of Divinity Degree or equivalent.Must be ordained and in good standing with one's ecclesiastical body.3 years of experience in a pastoral ministry with significant time spent working with the elderly.Must be duly ordained in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan.Association of Professional Chaplains certification, preferred.The above is a summary of the position, it in no way states or implies that these are the only duties this position will be required to perform.
