No first-timers accepted

Description :

Position for a Speech Therapist in an acute care hospital setting.

Start date is ASAP, with at least 2 weeks required for compliance processes.

The shift is 5x8 Days from 08 : 00 to 17 : 00.

The patient ratio is 1 : 5.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Weekend shifts are not required.

No on-call duties are needed.

The clinician may float within scope to meet facility needs.

The facility is open to accommodating a block schedule.

Local candidates are accepted.

Pending licenses are accepted.

One request for time off is allowed per contract, with a maximum of one week.

No time off is permitted in the first two weeks due to orientation.

Guaranteed hours are provided : 40 hours weekly for 8 and 10-hour shifts.

The facility is an acute care hospital with full medical and surgical services.

Total staffed beds in the facility are 25.

Scrub color is flexible, per the dress code policy.

The charting system used is Cerner.

Housing is available at no cost for staff.

All candidates must comply with required health protocols, including a flu vaccine.

The position requires various skills related to acute care and adult rehabilitation services.

Candidates should be familiar with assessment techniques and communication strategies relevant to diverse patient populations.

The patient age groups include infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics.

The daily census averages 4-5 patients, with specific treatment needs addressed in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
