CT Technologist - PRN

Looking for an experienced PRN CT Technologist. The main responsibility of this employee entails the timely performance of CT exams while maintaining quality imaging and quality patient care. The technologist is also responsible for obtaining patient medical histories and obtaining accurate CT scans, administering contrast agents and obtaining prescriptions from radiologist for scans. All CT scans must be performed and all equipment operated to ensure there is no unnecessary radiation to patient, operator, or any persons who may be nearby.

This job requires an individual with good communication skills and the ability to work as a team member, coordinating job duties by the minute with other employees in the center. In this fast paced Imaging Center, the employee must exhibit tolerance and the ability to deal constructively with stress. This person must be empathetic with regard to patient care and always make the patient's needs the number one priority.

Responsibilities :

• Background in GE equipment or software is desirable
• Knowledgeably performs CT scans in compliance with govering agencies and SWDIC protocols
• Operates technical equipment skillfully and positions patients accurately
• Evaluates images for technical quality
• Ensures correct images are sent to PACS in a timely manner

Qualifications :

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Current CE with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist

Preferred experience in Computerized Tomography

Current CE with Texas Medical Board
