Position Summary

At Domo, we are passionate about making enterprise software that people actually want to use. The Product Design team partners directly with our Product Management, Engineering and Program Management teams, and are driven by a passion to help people solve complex problems. We turn software they use 'for work' into products they love. We're looking for a User Experience Engineer (UX Engineer) to join the team. This is a hybrid design-engineering role for someone who thrives at the intersection of design systems, front-end development, and user experience. You might be a front-end engineer who loves design, or a designer who's fluent in code — either way, you're passionate about creating scalable, reusable UI components that help designers and engineers work better together. You'll bring the Domo Design System to life by building, documenting, and evolving the components that power Domo's product experiences — ensuring tight alignment between Figma and the production codebase. Your work will empower people and change the way they get work done.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate between design system designers and front-end engineers to build and maintain a React component library that will harmonize existing Figma and React components.
  • Focus on improving general accessibility in the Domo product, including modes and themes like high contrast or dark mode.
  • Help design and build cross platform components for desktop and mobile native Domo products.
  • Roll out support for Figma Code Connect with the design system and front-end components.
  • Improve existing Domo products by identifying and either correcting or coordinating on the correcting of usability issues and design system departures.

Qualifications

  • ~3+ years of experience in a front-end or UX-related role (titles may include Front-End Engineer, UX Engineer, Design Technologist, or Product Designer with strong coding experience).
  • Solid understanding of modern web technologies (HTML, CSS, TypeScript / JavaScript, React preferred).
  • Experience building component libraries or design systems.
  • Familiarity with Figma — especially components, variants, and design tokens.
  • A strong eye for design details like spacing, motion, and accessibility.
  • The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with both designers and engineers.
  • Bonus points for :

    • Hands-on experience connecting Figma to code via Figma Code Connect or similar workflows.

  • Familiarity with tools like Storybook.
