Architectural Designer

The Architectural Designer prepares clear, complete, and accurate construction drawings and plans for new or modified structures using Revit and other 3D modeling (BIM) software. These plans are developed from drawings, detailed or rough sketches, notes, specifications, and calculations provided by engineers, architects, or clients.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Other duties may be assigned.

• Use Revit and 3D modeling (BIM) software—as well as plotting / printing equipment—to prepare basic design sketches, perspective drawings, preliminary layouts, and construction documents.
• Assist the Architect / Engineer with incorporating building code notations, regulatory requirements, zoning references, and specifications into project drawings.
• Support the Architect with product specification research and review of manufacturer / shop drawings to ensure alignment with company design criteria.
• Set up the project documentation structure and coordinate document distribution with the Architect, Project Manager, and other relevant team members.
• Revise and update Revit and BIM drawings as needed throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain project close-out documentation, including as-built record drawings and archive files.

EMPLOYMENT QUALIFICATIONS

Education : Associate's degree in architectural design or a related field preferred.

Experience : Minimum of 3 years of experience using Revit and 3D modeling (BIM) software preferred.
