Job Title : Finishing Technician

Role Overview : As a Finishing Technician at Johnson Metal Works, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality product is delivered to clients. Finishing Technicians are responsible for applying custom patina and paint finishes to metal components, adding unique character and durability to our high-quality architectural and industrial products. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented individual with a background in metal finishing and a passion for artistry and precision.

Responsibilities :

• Surface Preparation : Prepare metal surfaces for finishing, including cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming, to ensure optimal adhesion and durability of the finish.
• Patina and Paint Techniques : Use specialized techniques to apply and layer patinas, creating a range of colors, textures, and effects. Apply paint finishes that meet high-quality standards for color consistency, texture, and appearance.
• Quality Inspection : Perform quality control checks on finished pieces to verify consistency, finish quality, and adherence to specifications.
• Collaboration with Fabrication and Install Teams : Coordinate with fabricators and project managers to align finishing techniques with design requirements and project timelines.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping : Maintain accurate records of finishing processes, techniques, and materials used for each project to ensure reproducibility.
• Maintenance of Finishing Equipment and Workspace : Regularly clean and maintain finishing tools, equipment, and the workspace to support a safe, organized environment.
