Communicates effectively and professionally with staff and supervisors. Addresses and escalates concerns as needed. Reports changes in residents conditions promptly. Participates in leadership meetings to address dining-related needs. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods, and work in hot / humid environments. Able to bend, reach, carry trays, and move in confined spaces. Must be in good physical and emotional health. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. May work alternate shifts or extended hours. Subject to exposure to infectious conditions and occasional resident distress. Background check and possible random drug testing required. Position Summary : The Dining Room Manager oversees daily dining room operations, ensuring an exceptional experience for residents and guests. He / She assists with setup, service, and cleanup while guiding and coaching servers to maintain high standards of service and professionalism.
Essential Functions
- Oversees daily dining room operations under the direction of the Culinary Services Director.
- Ensures proper staffing, hiring, and training of servers.
- Coaches and supports team performance; resolves issues promptly.
- Maintains clean, safe, and well-stocked dining and snack areas.
- Delivers an exceptional dining experience for residents, families, and guests.
- Oversees dining setup, service, and cleanup; communicates menu details to staff.
- Collaborates with other departments to enhance resident satisfaction.
- Completes required in-service education and supports sales and marketing efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
