Must-Have : Telemetry experience

Basic rhythm interpretation

Ability to titrate insulin and heparin

Description :

Common diagnoses include cardiac issues, post-cath / pacer, pneumonia, COVID, alcohol-related conditions, and ICU downgrades.

Experience in telemetry and rhythm interpretation is ideal.

RNs are required to titrate insulin and heparin drips.

Charge nurses may take patients at lower ratios when possible.

There are nurse assistants available on this unit.

The typical patient ratio is 8-9 per nurse.

Remote telemetry support is provided by a central monitoring unit.

RNs will read strips with assistance from monitoring technicians as needed.

Shifts are 12 hours, typically from 0545 to 1815 and 1730 to 0615.

Weekend and holiday availability is required.

There is no call or standby requirement for this position.

Floating may be requested if the RN's skill set allows.

Dress code is clean and professional attire.

Unit-specific orientation will be provided based on experience.

The charting system used is EpicCare Inpatient - EMR.
