Communication plans may include strategies to help patients better express themselves and understand others. Leads, guides, and directs the delivery of speech-language pathology services in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to provide appropriate care and services to residents. Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including skilled nursing home standards. Maintains accurate documentation and clinical records. Supervises and supports therapy assistants or students as appropriate.
