Job Supply Chain Purchasing Planner

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Planner to support a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) contract with the U.S. Army. The Purchasing Planner will be responsible for managing procurement planning, inventory control, and supply chain coordination to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong logistics, procurement, and supply chain management expertise in compliance with U.S. Army and host-nation regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute purchasing plans to meet operational requirements under the FMS contract.
• Coordinate with Purchasing, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS), and host-nation procurement laws.
• Maintain accurate inventory tracking systems.
• Monitor supply chain performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Work closely with logistics, finance, and program management teams to optimize procurement efficiency.
• Track purchase requisitions, supplier performance, and delivery schedules to ensure contract fulfillment.
• Support budget planning, forecasting, and cost analysis for procurement activities.
• Ensure compliance with export control laws, trade agreements, and supply chain security requirements.
• Address supply chain disruptions, risk mitigation, and contingency planning as needed.
