JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS :
A NIH-funded Postdoctoral Scholar position is available in Dr. Shengyu Yang's lab in the Department of Cell and Biological Systems at Penn State College of Medicine, Hershey, PA. The research focuses on mitochondrial calcium signaling and cysteine metabolism in cancer metastasis, particularly pancreatic cancer progression. The project involves biochemistry, cell biology, genetically engineered mouse models, and patient-derived organoids / xenografts.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or equivalent in cancer biology, cancer metabolism, biochemistry, cell biology, molecular biology or related fields, with at least 4 years of postdoctoral experience. Experience in metabolomics, cancer metabolism, mass spectrometry, and mouse models is desirable but not mandatory.
This is a limited-term appointment for one year from the date of hire, contingent upon successful background checks.
