Job Summary

Utilizing solid credit and analytical skills, the Analyst will be responsible for supporting portfolio management in the Commodity Finance business line in MUFG's Global Corporate & Investment Bank (GCIB), for the purpose of providing continuous oversight of the Commodity Finance portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Support Portfolio Managers by :
  • Preparing and maintaining financial spreads, tables, and projection models.
  • Performing credit control and portfolio management responsibilities as assigned, including analyzing the credit risk of the portfolio, and making recommendations of accurate and timely credit ratings.
  • Assisting in the preparation of credit review reports for adverse credits for the purpose of tracking and reporting up-to-date conditions of such credits to management.
  • Performing due diligence, regularly scheduled reviews, and detailed credit analysis.
  • Attendance to bank meetings and customer calls as necessary.
  • Gathering, reviewing, and analyzing critical account information from all available sources in order to make accurate assessments of the customer's financial condition and ability to fulfill debt obligations.
  • Obtain full understanding of the Bank's internal credit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or related field of study.
  • One or more years of experience in a credit and risk management capacity, formal credit training, and financial modeling knowledge preferred.
  • Knowledge of corporate credit analysis and accounting concepts.
  • Verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical skills.
  • Good computer skills in Microsoft Word / Access / Excel.
  • Team player with intellectual curiosity; Ability to work independently and under pressure; Strong, proactive problem solving and communication skills; Proactive attitude, flexible, critical thinker.
  • Compensation & Benefits

    The typical base pay range for this role is $100K - $110K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and / or incentive compensation.
