Director of Process Engineering (Industrial Automation)
Dallas, TX (Hybrid, 3 days a week onsite)
Base Pay Range
$170,000.00 / yr - $250,000.00 / yr
The Role
- Ensure process capability using CpK / PpK, 8D, and 5-Why analysis.
- Develop and qualify robust processes for defense-grade steel forgings.
- Lead FAIs and process validations to meet defense standards.
- Apply SPC and statistical tools (Minitab, Excel, R-Shiny) for process control.
- Leverage expertise in metal processing, including heat treating and chemical coatings.
- Drive Lean and Six Sigma to improve efficiency and quality.
- Serve as primary process engineering contact for customers and suppliers.
- Manage shift supervisors and process techs across all shifts.
The Person
Experience leading process engineering in defense, aerospace, or complex manufacturing.Skilled in CpK / PPK, SPC, RCCA (8D, 5-Why), Minitab, and R-Shiny.Hands-on leader and team builder; thrives in high-pressure environments.Strong communicator, proactive problem-solver, and effective mentor.Experience in metal processing is required, including forging, casting, heat treating, chemical processing, or rolling.Seniority Level
