Job Description

As a Security Officer - Commercial Patrol Security Clearance in Arlington, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while offering a visible and reassuring presence. You will conduct routine patrols, interact with tenants and visitors, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients, following security-related procedures and site-specific policies as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and / or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while maintaining professionalism.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the commercial real estate location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel as required.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as needed, following established protocols specific to the location.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter unauthorized access and / or violations of site rules.
  • Communicate clearly and promptly with Allied Universal management and site representatives regarding security-related matters.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • An active Department of Defense Secret Clearance is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A valid security guard card or license is preferred, subject to state and / or local laws and regulations.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
