Nutritional Services Lead

Position Overview :

Palo Alto County Health System (PACHS) is seeking a proactive and organized Nutrition Services Lead to support the Director of Nutrition Services in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring high standards in food service delivery. This full-time leadership role is essential to maintaining quality, safety, and efficiency in the Nutrition Services department.

Key Responsibilities :

• Supervise Nutrition Services staff and ensure production standards are met.
• Monitor food preparation and tray service activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of storeroom and walk-in cooler.
• Assist in planning and implementing new procedures and departmental improvements.
• Prepare weekly cleaning schedules and lead monthly in-service training sessions.
• Enter data into computer systems for meal counts and inventory.
• Support purchasing, receiving, storing, and issuing of food and nonfood items.
• Assist the Dietitian with reports related to purchasing, temperature monitoring, and month-end summaries.
• Rotate consistently as a working leader on the schedule.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and serve patients across all age groups.
